We are always interested to know more about a person - his/her background, interests, jobs, etc.
I can be very egoistic at times.
However, I will put aside my ego when it comes to the things I yearn for. For example, I want to improve my public speaking skill very badly. Others will question: "You got good score in exams. You must be very good in everything too." I am sorry to inform you that being book smart does not mean that I am street smart too. Unfortunately, getting flying colours in the examinations do not correlate exponentially with my speaking skill. I do not mind being humiliated or laughed - I do not care. All I want is to brush up my communication skill and public speaking skill in a very short time. That's me - once I know what I want, I will work hard for it. The presence of obstacles is inevitable - in fact, obstacles are my biggest stepping stones. Every time I overcome an obstacle, I am one step close to getting what I desire.
Improve, improve, and improve. That's what I love to do. Be it speaking skill, English proficiency, presentation skill or posing skill. I always aim higher than what I can do. I always remind myself not to become complacent about my progress. I always compare myself with the great people - Bill Gates, Steve Jobs, Albert Einstein, Anthony Robbins, etc - with the intention of improving myself to be a better person with better achievements. If they can do it, why can't I? Success is not measured by how many you have, it is how many you can give and contribute to the society.
Undoubtedly, laziness is my biggest enemy. I am in constant war with my weaknesses. I hope that I can achieve my goals while I am still alive. Life is fragile. Who knows what will be awaiting us tomorrow?
So, live today like there is no tomorrow! Procrastinate no more - do what we have to do.
Have a great week ahead! ^_^

FAQ 1: What do you do when you are not working?
There are a lot of people asking me this question: What do you do when you are free/not working?
These are the things I do when I am not working:
1. Tidying up my bedroom (I would consider it as an exercise. Hehehe...)
2. Doing the laundry (I wash my own clothes, no maids for me.)
3. Cleaning my makeup brushes (Dirty brushes will cause acne!)
4. Reading magazines and books (Times, Reader's Digest, etc)
5. Listening to music (Emm, I enjoy a variety of music and songs except hard rock.)
6. Checking my email, Facebook, and Youtube & update my blog
7. Doing research on different poses by famous models & ideas on photo shoots (I am not a natural poser, so have to be extra hard working.)
8. Checking out the photo shoot places
9. Hanging out with my family and friends
10. Sewing (to make some costumes for photo shoots)
11. Eating, eating and eating (Snowflake desserts - taro taro balls! Banana leaf rice, seafood, pizza, ice cream, soya bean, cakes, Famous Amos cookies, etc)
12. Watching TV/drama series/movies
13. Attending Toastmaster's meetings (newfound interest ^_^ )
The list is not exhaustive. These are the most frequent things I do when I am free. The very last thing I will do is clubbing. I am a more reserved person. I enjoy spending time with myself, my family and close friends. I try my best to utilize my time to upgrade myself, be it interpersonal skill, language, etc. So I am definitely not a good choice to be your clubbing buddy.
Have a wonderful week ahead! Treasure every single moment! *Love and hugs*

Interview for the job of presenter
8th of August - it is supposed to be an auspicious day for everyone.... I screwed my part time job interview. *sob sob*
Yeah, I have to go for interview even for part time jobs such as usherette, paddock queen, etc. This is to safeguard the best interest of the clients - because Photoshop can do wonders for our pictures - the clients would like to see us in real.
This is the very first time I applied the job of presenter (I love giving presentation! ;) ). The main responsibility of a presenter is to do stage presentation. We were given a 4-page-script to memorize. I have no problem memorizing all in a day. I practiced with my sisters and my performance was satisfying.
However, I still can't overcome the fear when I attended the interview.
The interview panel consists of 5 people. I was terrified after introducing myself. I was standing right in front of them and they were marking something on the paper.... A lady looked directly into my eyes throughout the interview. I wanted to avoid the eye contact, but it would be very rude if I did that. So I maintained the eye contact, but I totally blanked when I was asked to do the presentation. OH NO!!! I was so embarrassed and could not stop blaming myself. How stupid was I!
I think it's time for me to take public speaking lessons seriously. I must conquer the fear!

Why Mini Cooper?
Initially I planned to publish my very first post on August 8, since it is believed to be an auspicious day (Chinese people love number 8). Why now? Today is 5-8-11 - therefore easy to remember. =P I am superstitious? Maybe yes.
Okay.... Let's cut the crap and get to the point - Why did I choose Mini Cooper girl as the name of my blog?
I love Mini Cooper - it's powerful, small, and stylish. In Odyssey Drift Championship Paddock Queen Search Finale 2011, I was asked my favourite car. Sports cars (Ferrari, Lamborghini, etc) seem to be the favourite answers of other contestants. I answered, "Mini Cooper...... Emm.... Size is not important, functionality matters." And the crowd burst out laughing. (Yeah... I know what you guys are thinking.... Ishh.... >.<) If you are wondering who are the judges, they are
Esther (FHM Malaysia Girl Next Door winner 2011)
Phat Fabes (famous celebrity/deejay)
and Prem (famous celebrity/deejay).
Did I win? What do you think? ;)
That's all for now! Take care! And have a nice day! Smile. ^_^
